Communication Steering Committee

The Mohawk Communications Steering Committee will serve as the Harbor Pilot in establishing policies, procedure, best practices, and strategy for the Mohawk Communications Plan.  This committee serves a number of essential tasks and holds the core responsibility  for success of the overall plan.

A successful communication plan is built on a strong, coordinated theme and is more effective than one with unrelated or erratic messages. The Fictionville Communication Plan will  support, reinforce, and reflect the goals that the Steering committee has established.   The plan should underscore the idea of an organization with one common purpose.

The Steering Committee will be staffed entirely of Mohawk personnel.  This committee will establish all program guidelines and each member will be responsible for carrying out essential functions of the plan.

Members of the Fictionville Steering Committee

The first duty of the Steering Committee will be the creation of an Advisory Committee.  The Advisory Committee will be composed of various vital segments of the Fictionville Community.

Each Representative on the Mohawk Steering Committee will have specific objectives to accomplish in working with the Community Advisory Committee.  Each Mohawk division will play a critical role in completing the overall objective.  This committee will meet weekly to review progress of each subcommittee of the Community Advisory Committee.

The role that each Steering Committee member plays as a member of the Community Advisory Committee is crucial.  The Steering Committee must guide the Advisory Committee in accomplishing specific minimum, targeted Mohawk Corporate objectives specified in this Communication Plan.  The objectives of the Communication Plan have been designed to accomplish both marketing and public relations activities.

The Goal of the steering Committee is to guide the Advisory Committee to accomplish the specified objectives defined by the Steering Committee.  This Committee will meet weekly on the front end of this project in continuing to refine the message, update the committee on Advisory Committee, and to provide resources necessary for the Advisory group to accomplish Plan Objectives .
