| The Role of ManufacturingManufacturing will assist each Communications Plan segment and participate in each plan of action. It is critical that manufacturing be actively engaged in all activities of the Communication Plan. Ultimately, they will play a key part in final assessment of the plans overall success. While this Communication Plan displays elements of a Marketing and Public Relations campaign in trying to build excitement about the impact Mohawk will have on the overall community; ultimately it will be manufacturing that established plan success or failure. How well their staff are trained when they are turned over to manufacturing, the volume of candidates seeking to fill positions, and the quality of candidates will ultimately assess the value of the communications plan. Because Manufacturing plays such a critical role in evaluating the plan, manufacturing representatives need to be involved in every aspect of planning and execution. It is suggested that Manufacturing incorporate as many lower and middle-management staff as practical in this oversight and allow each manager to specialize in a small component of the overall Communication Plan. |
