| Community Benevolent ProgramsMohawk encourages Mohawk employees to become good community citizens. Mohawk cannot thrive without a thriving community that supports it. Mohawk will partner with Mark Helpinghand - President, United Way of Fiction County to prioritize and identify community benevolent needs. Mohawk will support our staff who participate in a Mohawk-coordinated community service project by using hours of community service as a part of the calculation and accumulation of paid time off (PTO) and sick leave. While the Mohawk staff will not be paid directly for these hours (at their Mohawk hourly wage rate) they will be added to their comp time accumulation up to the maximum yearly time allowed. If an employee contributes 20 hours per month to an approved charity, this 20 hours of volunteer effort will accrue at the regular rate of 0.05 hours per hour. The Benevolent subcommittee will work to communicate Mohawk efforts to the community and identify and solicit prospective charities for inclusion. Mohawk employees are encouraged to submit their own charity for inclusion into this program. |
