| Mohawk CommunicationsThis website was created quickly (in 6-days) and was originally designed to present information related to my qualifications and skills for positions within Mohawk Flooring. In other words, an assignment to prepare for an interview. Rather than offer a Powerpoint presentation or YouTube video detailing my experience and qualifications, I opted to package as much information into this web format as the limited lead time permitted. This website (rather than a Power Point CD-Rom) should indicate innovation, creativity, trend-setting accomplishments. Online communication is "the" communication source in today's world. This website contains detailed information related to my (Michael Hilton) work history and achievements. This The most powerful point (Powerpoint?) that can be made for this web presentation is that in only 4 days from conception to purchase of this domain name, and upload of its' first pages, I have been able to leverage this website into the #1 result listing for keywords- "mohawk communication manager" and "mohawk communications plan". Consider that this domain name DID NOT EXIST PRIOR TO APRIL 21, 2009! and by April 26, the website had been indexed by Google and was ranked #1. Typically a new website requires 6-months to be indexed and ranked by Google (unless you understand the procedure.) However, what better communication message than to be able to quickly broadcast the Mohawk message to the world, quickly, and at no cost? Creating this website was an enormous undertaking, given the short lead time of 7 days for this assignment. This was an original, innovative undertaking (I'm not sure a website has ever been built specifically for one job interview). It was actually a fun challenge. If I were to provide a short conceptual description or phrase to define or describe my employment history, it would read "NO ROADMAP NECESSARY". This phrase would describe the numerous projects I have undertaken, which were the first of their kind or were in areas that had never before been addressed. Hopefully this website will identify those trailblazing accomplishments. By the way, Michael Hilton is still looking for his next career challenge.
